Admissions
If you’re someone who is struggling with addiction, we know that asking for help is one of the toughest steps you can take. Early intervention can make all the difference in long-term recovery and we’re here to support you every step of the way. Our admissions process is designed to be as smooth and stress-free as possible. We want you to feel informed, supported and comfortable from the moment you reach out. Let us help you take the first step to a healthier, happier life.
If you’re seeking addiction treatment for a loved one and want to find out more about the admissions process, then we hope you find the answers you’re looking for on this page. We’ve covered many of the common admissions questions, but if you have any more queries, please get in touch. Our admissions team will be happy to help.
Step 1: First Contact and Assessment
The first step in your journey to recovery is to get in touch with us. You can call or email us or fill out our secure contact form online – whatever is most convenient for you. All communication is completely confidential so you can feel comfortable and safe during this time.
Once you’ve made contact we’ll schedule a confidential assessment. This is a detailed conversation with one of our admissions counsellors about your history, current situation and individual treatment needs. We know talking openly about addiction can feel uncomfortable, but honesty during this time is extremely important. This assessment helps us understand your situation better and how we can support your recovery.
Step 2: Insurance and Financial Planning
After the assessment, our admissions team will help verify your insurance benefits. This process helps us determine what’s covered and what you’ll be responsible for. At Step by Step Recovery, we work with many insurance providers to get you the most out of your coverage and reduce out-of-pocket expenses.
For clients without insurance or whose insurance doesn’t cover the full cost of treatment we offer payment plans and financial assistance. The cost of rehab can be a barrier for many people, and we want to make addiction treatment accessible to those who need it. Please discuss any financial concerns with our admissions team early on so we can find the best solution for you.
Step 3: Admission Day and Intake
When you arrive at The Lighthouse, you’ll be greeted by a dedicated admissions coordinator who will walk you through the whole process. From the moment you step through our doors, we will do everything we can to make you feel comfortable and supported. You’ll get a quick tour of the facility and meet some staff members so you feel settled in from the start.
The intake process includes a medical evaluation and meetings with the doctor and therapists to review your treatment plan. This is your chance to ask any questions and get prepared for your treatment. We want to alleviate any anxiety and make you feel supported so you can focus on your recovery. To help you prepare for your stay we provide a packing list that outlines what to bring and what to leave behind. So you have everything you need for a comfortable stay without any worries.
Step 4: Personalised Treatment Plan
Following your medical assessment, our clinical team will work with you to develop a personalised treatment plan specific to your needs. This comprehensive plan is created by our team of addiction specialists including therapists and doctors who work together to ensure every aspect of your care is covered. Your plan will also address any underlying mental health issues, additional medical needs and your personal recovery goals all while focusing on long-term sobriety and well-being.
Start of Treatment
After your medical assessment and orientation, you’ll begin your personalised treatment programme. This includes a medically supervised detox if necessary, combined with individual therapy sessions, group activities and other treatment components designed to address the psychological aspects of addiction as well as the physical.
Ongoing Support and Communication
Throughout your time at Step by Step Recovery, you will have regular check-ins with your treatment team. These sessions are important for monitoring your progress, discussing any challenges, and adjusting your treatment plan as needed. We want to make sure you’re constantly supported and your treatment evolves to meet your needs at every stage of recovery.
Family members can be kept informed of your progress during treatment provided you permit us to do so. We will work with you to determine the level and frequency of family communication that works for you. This can give you peace of mind and ensure loved ones are involved in supporting your recovery when needed.
Interventions
Whilst many of our clients come to The Lighthouse eager to begin treatment, not everyone is open to accepting help. However, addiction is a progressive disease, and without treatment, the consequences can be devastating. Understandably, families want to do all they can to convince loved ones to enter rehab.
At Step by Step Recovery, some of our staff members have experience working with clients who are hesitant about treatment. While they are not trained interventionists they do have experience addressing ambivalence. For more complex cases we work with professional interventionists to get the best outcome. We also offer sober transport services available at an additional cost to support a safe transition into our care.
The Cost of Treatment
People often put off seeking help because of the cost of addiction treatment. Paying for rehab is considered a financial burden for some, however, at Step-By-Step Recovery we aim to provide the best quality of care at affordable prices so that this doesn’t have to be a concern.
What’s included in the cost of addiction treatment?
The cost of your stay will depend on the level of treatment you require, and our admissions team will discuss this with you in detail during your initial phone enquiry. At Step by Step Recovery, there are no hidden fees involved in our service. We are a fully residential rehab clinic, which means everything we provide is included in the overall cost. The following is included in the price you pay:
- Medications and medical assessment
- Treatment therapies
- Nutritious meals cooked by our in-house chefs
- Lifetime aftercare
The quickest and most efficient way to secure immediate treatment is by funding it yourself. However, we realise that each person’s situation is different, which is why we do all we can to assist you when it comes to paying for rehab.
Payment plans
We want as many individuals to benefit from our services as possible, so if paying for treatment upfront is a concern for you, you can call us to discuss payment plans. A payment deposit for two weeks is required before you’re admitted to our clinic. Once that has been paid, we can arrange instalment plans to cover the remaining cost of your treatment and you always have the option of extending your stay with us at any time. Once that has been paid, we can spread the remaining costs throughout your stay, for example, an additional payment before week two and before week six.
Payment methods
We require a deposit to be paid before your arrival, this allows us to reserve a place for you, so you’ll be able to settle in and see the doctor straight away. Payment can be made by credit or debit card over the phone or in person at our premises.
When do I pay?
During the admission process, you will have an initial phone call with one of our team who will take you through your treatment options and answer any questions you have regarding our clinic and treatment programme. During this consultation, we will take a deposit to secure your place in our facility. The next stage is a pre-admissions consultation, carried out by our experienced admissions team. If following this examination, you are deemed unfit to attend rehab for any reason, your deposit will be refunded in full.
If you would like an instant quote or have any questions about our clinic, please get in touch. Our phone lines operate 24/7 and we’d be happy to advise you on a suitable programme which meets both your treatment needs and financial budget.
